PREHISTORIC AUSTRALIA

YouTube Series

What is the project?

Prehistoric Australia is a series of adventure films about the dinosaurs that hunted through the fierce rainforests, the torturous deserts and dark oceans of Australia.

Each video introduces an Australian Palaeontologist that takes us into the past to meet a monster of the prehistoric. We fly with the pterosaurs, run from the theropods, dodge the sauropods and escape from the plesiosaurs.

The films will be shot around Australia, showcasing the vast natural beauty of the country. Out in the elements, camping under the stars, battling the fierce thunderstorms, choppering over the wetlands and trudging through the mud to uncover these stories.

The films will explain cutting-edge palaeontology, while indigenous storytellers delve into creation myths intertwined with the dinosaurs.

The series will be directed by adventure filmmaker Kasimir Zierl

Who is the audience?

The high paced action of the series will appeal to an audience of adventure enthusiasts, they will be inspired to visit the locations featured and purchase the equipment that enables their lifestyle. Dinosaur lovers will be fascinated by the lives of the palaeontologists featured in each episode, and the dinosaur hunters will explain the tools they rely on to do their job.

  • We’ll promote the films in Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA and Canada with versions translated into Spanish, Portuguese, German and French for an international market.

  • The films will be promoted with a paid YouTube ad campaign, a variety of short form videos for social media, and an influencer marketing campaign. We will promote the series on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Linkedin with a variety of trailers aimed at different niches.

  • We’ll launch an email campaign to school teachers in Australia with a lesson plan so they can use the films to teach to their students about palaeontology.

  • We’re in discussion with the producers of several Australian talk shows to feature interviews with the palaeontologists and screen the films. The list of TV shows include “The Project”, “The Morning Show”, “Sunrise”, “The Today Show” and “ABC Breakfast”.
